Frequently Asked Questions

What can I do with Crowd Analytics?

Crowd Analytics helps angel investors and other deal professionals discover and analyse companies that are actively fundraising. Our intelligent deal prospecting, tracking and analytics tools provide invaluable insights into company performance, resulting in a better-informed decision-making process.

What companies are tracked by Crowd Analytics?

We cover all companies that are fundraising currently, whether privately or through online/crowdfunding platforms. In terms of geographies, the majority of our data universe comprises UK companies and gradually we are expanding our coverage internationally.

How can I find companies that interest me?

You can discover companies using the wide range of filtering criteria available or through keyword searches (e.g. using the company name, company registration number, location, etc.).

How are the Crowd Analytics reports structured?

Each fundraising campaign has its own Crowd Analytics report. Reports provide easy-to-understand answers to a number of important questions. Questions are grouped into sections (e.g. “Near-term Outlook”, “Medium-Term Outlook”, “Returns”, “Valuation”, etc.). From the report overview, clicking on the title of a section opens the entire set of questions that correspond to that section. Clicking on a question expands the answer and provides more detail.

What do the green/orange/read colours mean?

Our analytics are presented in a colour-coded one-page report that summarises the key findings. Green indicates no issues; Orange indicates potential considerations, albeit not necessarily critical; Red indicates aspects that are likely to warrant close attention.

Where do you get your data?

We gather information provided by the companies themselves and combine it with data from third-party sources, including Companies House and Companies Registration Office.

How do I report a data issue?

At Crowd Analytics we import hundreds of company records each month and take great care to ensure the integrity of the data. If you encounter an inaccuracy or have a question about the data, please contact us and we will address it right away.
